Fermanagh Ladies Club History

Fermanagh Ladies Gaelic Football Club was founded in 2000 and entered into competition that year.  Fermanagh Ladies built a team initially with players who hailed from Ireland, however, in the past couple of years the club has introduced a large number of young American born players to the game.

The club was founded by Sheila Denning, John Joe McGovern (R.I.P.) and Nollaig Cleary.

In 2006 Fermanagh Ladies won the Peter Connaughton Cup. MVP of this final was Caroline Murphy.
In 2007 Fermanagh were winners of the Barry Fitzgerald Seven-a-side Cup.
In 2004 Fermanagh were claimed to have been the "World Series" champions of Philadelphia.
