The New York panel of 24 have some very talented players and have been training hard since March for their trip to Leitrim where they will be hosted by the Sean O’Heslin’s GFC in Ballinamore. In Courtney Traynor they have a hard working forward who demonstrates speed and agility on the ball partnered by players like Brianna Tierney, Katie McEvoy, Kelly McCormack, Andrea McGlade and Megan Santini; they will be a tough opposition to any back line. Caitlin Hynes is a strong midfielder but both Molly Boyle and Margaret Moore played well today and the defensive unit both starting and off the bench were second to none. Christina Brown continues to improve with Ashley Callery very strong in the full back position. Amanda McGovern, Noelle Brophy, Bridget Mulligan and Teresa Daly all shone with Laura O’Sullivan, Kerry Holland, Johanna Levine, Kathryn Shea and Nora Kilkenny all playing their part when introduced leaving difficult decisions ahead for manager Kieran Traynor and selectors Rosie O’Reilly and Anne Holland.
Subs: C. Orskerr, M. Murphy, E. Tigne
